Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a collegiate Greek-letter fraternity. Membership in Kappa Alpha Psi is a lifelong commitment to the ideals of achievement, service, and brotherhood.

Since our founding on January 5, 1911, Kappa Alpha Psi has initiated more than 170,000+ members through 700+ chapters worldwide.

Membership Requirements

The Boston (MA) Alumni Chapter accepts applications for membership from qualified men who meet the following criteria:

Undergraduate Membership

Undergraduate membership is available through our advised undergraduate chapters:

  • Chi Chapter - Boston University
  • Theta Iota Chapter - Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Lambda Xi Chapter - Brown University

Contact the respective chapter's undergraduate advisor for more information.

Alumni Membership

Alumni membership through the Boston (MA) Alumni Chapter is available to men who:

  • Are at least 21 years of age
  • Have earned a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Demonstrate good moral character
  • Express a genuine interest in the ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi
  • Reside in the Greater Boston area

Anti-Hazing Statement

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is unalterably opposed to hazing in any form. The Fraternity has banned paddling and other forms of physical abuse and has introduced constructive endeavors during pledgeship and probation.

Kappa Alpha Psi strictly prohibits hazing in any form. Any chapter or individual found engaging in hazing activities will face severe disciplinary action, including expulsion from the fraternity.
