About the Event

The Boston (MA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. hosted “From the Frontline to the Forefront: A Journey Through American Justice,” a fireside chat at Wesley United Methodist Church featuring Dr. Larome Myrick, Executive Director of Juvenile Justice for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families.

Dr. Myrick chronicled his career trajectory as a criminal justice professional — beginning as a correctional officer, rising through the ranks into management, and arriving at his current executive role. Drawing on experience in both adult and youth correction systems, he gave particular attention to how policy decisions and systemic challenges influence the efficacy of various models of reform and rehabilitation.
